Surviving a Breakup and Moving On

So breakups are a thing? Unfortunately, yes they are. Whether it's lovers or best friends
breakups are the worst. And, as has been predicted since day one there has been a big breakup here at IWS Radio. What? No, not Matt and Jay! I'm talking about Jamie and Guy! Their relationship was doomed from the beginning, but after giving it everything they had, Jamie and Guy have called it quits after six tumultuous years, uh, months, uh weeks. Seems like longer, right?
Anyway, we're here to console both Jamie and Guy and give our best advice to everyone out there on how to survive having your heart blown to smithereens and move on while keeping your dignity intact. Jamie Mapleleaf will be here along with the IWS Players to join the shenanigans. There will be witty banter, good/bad music and as always, BOOZE! Booze is a very important ingredient in recovering from heartbreak
It was a good time...so give it a listen right here...

Blogmas Day Last: Jayman's Got Big Plans for 2019

Holaaaaaaa and Happy New Year’s Eve y’all! Well, Blogmas is finally over and I must say it’s been a smashing success! We straight up killed it! I’m so proud of the entire IWS Media team for making Blogmas 2018 the greatest Blogmas ever! Give yourselves a round of applause!

Okay, no now that THAT’S over with, it’s on to Jayman’s New Year’s resolutions for 2019. There’s always room for improvement and I’m going to continue to work on myself in the new to try and be the best me I can be!

1. Be more dramatic on Twitter. Instead of sitting here listening to the loud, angry, sad, depressed voices in my head, I should just Tweet all that shit out, right? I agree!
2. Change my fashion style. I’ve gone with the Modern Homeless look long enough. It’s time to upgrade. I’m thinking of going with Hawaiian shirts. Everyone loves a guy in a Hawaiian shirt.
3. Start a Cooking/Mukbang Show on Youtube titled “JayEatYet?” I think this would be very popular and way better than my other idea of just walking around various places while pontificating on different topics titled “JayWalking.”

4. Eat more fried potatoes. I don’t think it’s possible to get enough French fries, tator-tots and hash browns in one’s life.
5. Cut back on carbs and eat healthier and eliminate sugar from my diet. Fried potatoes are exempt from this resolution.
6. Become a life coach, inspirational leader or influencer.

7. Get married. It’s probably past time to settle down.
8. Finally master the accordion OR a foreign language. Doesn’t have to be both.
9. Write a book. Haven’t decided on a topic or anything yet, but I’ll work on it at some point.

Okay then! Looks like I’m gonna have a busy 2019. What’s important is that most of my resolutions are attainable. That’s what I need to do because I hate feeling like a failure.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand if you don’t want to feel like a failure, you’ll listen to this week’s episode of IWS Radio! We were LIT AF this week looking back on 2018 and making some predictions for 2019 and just engaging in all kinds of hilarious shenanigans! Check it out!

Looking for Love in the Dark Corners of the Internet

It used to be hard to find THE ONE. You had to go out and meet people. Go to bars, or parties, or singles functions at church or community centers, or get set up by friends or put personals in alternative weekly newspapers. It was all so difficult and required a certain amount of social skills. Well, thanks to the internet that's a thing fo the past. But, how well do online personals sites work? It seems as though there are a dozen horror stories for every happy ending. Well, Matt-Man and Jayman are going to investigate this whole online dating phenomenon and get to the bottom of it! We'll discuss our own experiences with online personals and open up the phone lines so you can share your experiences with the world too.

As always our Canadian Bureau Chief Jamie Mapleleaf will be here along with the IWS Players to add a little charm and sophistication to the show. There will be good and bad music, booze and another award-winning Witty Banter segment as well as some expert NFL Draft analysis. All this plus YOUR CALLS!

Is Taylor Swift a White Supremacist Nazi Sympathizer?

Maybe it’s just me, but if people had any question as to whether or not I supported white supremacists and Nazis, I would clear that up pretty quickly.  I wouldn’t wait to find out how much it might cost me in album, ticket and merchandise sales either. I would immediately and forcefully make my condemnation of these hate groups known to everyone. I wouldn’t say “well, my new video is premiering on the MTV Video Awards and new album is dropping at the same time, so I’ll just wait and see if this all blows over.”

It just so happens that there IS a huge pop star who these vile racist groups do consider their “Aryan Goddess.” We are, of course, talking about Taylor Swift. Taylor is famously “non-political” which is fine most of the time, I guess. But, we’re not living in normal times and this isn’t a normal political issues. We’re talking about hate groups who have called for the ethnic cleansing of all non-white Christians from America. So, why won’t Taylor Swift condemn them? Does she support them?

Last week the VMA’s were full of musical artists taking a stand against these white supremacist Nazi groups. Artist after artist spoke out eloquently and strongly in favor of tolerance and love. Everyone except Taylor Swift, that is. Instead, Swift debuted her latest “I’m a victim of the big, scary black guy” song complete with the mocking of Kim Kardashian being assaulted and robbed while looking strangely like Melania Trump. Should we just take that video as her position on hate and tolerance?

Even if Taylor Swift isn’t a white supremacist Nazi sympathizer, why would she refuse to publicly condemn them? Would the small financial hit she would take after they dropped her and stopped buying her music and posters really hurt Taylor that much? Is she so craven that she doesn’t consider standing up for what’s right to be more important than her place as the “Queen of Pop?” (Hint: Yes, she is.)

Yeah, I know. You’re going to point out that I have always disliked Taylor Swift and considered her a fraud and a horrible human being. Well, that’s true and you know what? I think I’ve been proven right over and over again. About ninety percent of Taylor Swift’s fan base is teenagers. Teenagers and young people are the most accepting and tolerant generation of Americans. There is no way they would turn on her if she publicly condemned hatred, racism and bigotry. The only people who would get mad are the Alt-Right and Donald Trump’s most fervent supporters. Her continued silence can only make one think that Taylor Swift fully supports those deplorable, racist white supremacist Nazi bastards.

Weddings Don't Have to Be So Stressful

You know? There’s just no reason weddings should be so stressful. That was the basic theme of this week’s Wedding Season Extravaganza on IWS Radio. Matt-Man and Jayman dispensed all kinds of great advice for people planning a wedding along with some other stuff they needed to discuss …

BTR was in rare form this weekend with tech problems galore, but Matt and Jay improvised, adapted and overcame.

Matt-Man has been singing the new cash register blues down at the Beer Mine (conveniently located at the corner of Elmore and Burnett Rds in Bagwine, Ohio).

Jayman had a rare deodorant emergency this week.

IWS Radio is HUGE in the Philippines and Filipinos are delicious.

Matt and Jay were both mostly impressed with American Pharoah’s Triple Crown win.

Food is a big deal at wedding receptions, but can you ever go wrong with pizza, chicken nuggets, jo-jo’s and brats? No, you can’t!

You need entertainment and for that you should turn to DJ Cheezy-B!

You need music at your wedding too. Be sure to avoid the bad love songs though.

Robert the Taylor brought everyone to tears with a beautiful love story.

Guy Ahnurdyck’s sister Flipper got married and Guy was there. Maybe.

Rev Moneymaker presided over Flipper Ahnurdyck-Twoinfro’s wedding. Maybe.

George is getting married!

Five Star Facebook Comment of the Week!

Sarcastic Sam is bitter and thinks marriage is a trap

Robert the Taylor made yet another appearance with a beautiful love song he wrote and performed.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaadn so much more ….

Celebrating Marriage and Crushing Hitler!

It's June kids and that means it's wedding season! Weddings are beautiful, wonderful and really stressful. Well, IWS Radio is here to take the stress out of weddings and put the hilarity in. There's no reason to get all worked up over your wedding. All it takes is some good planning and a good attitude. Two things Matt-Man and Jayman are known for.

They'll help you plan your wedding right down to the smallest details. Who all should you invite? Should it be indoors or outdoors? In a Church or at the courthouse? Maybe you should just elope? Should you hire a professional planner or turn it all over to a family member? These questions need answers and the IWS team is here to provide them. Probably.

What about the reception? What foods should you serve? Should there be an open bar? (Hint: YES!) What music should be played? The questions never stop! No wonder people get so stressed out over weddings! But, don't worry Matt and Jay are here for you.

Canadian Bureau Chief Jamie Mapleleaf and the IWS Players will be along as usual to bring even more insight to this very complicated topic. Who knows what else might come up. The NHL and NBA Finals are in full swing and the Duggars are in full damage plus all kinds of other crazy stuff going on in the world. All this and YOUR CALLS at 661.244.9852 on “Wedding Season Extravaganza” this Sunday at 12 Noon ET!!!

Also, to get warmed up for Sunday’s show, you can watch how Matt-Man and Jayman took down Hilter courtesy of Robert the Taylor!

Apologies Are Not a Sign of Weakness; They Are a Sign of Strength

Cheers Bitches and welcome to the no feel world of Tuesday. Matt-Man here with an important announcement that you will not hear very often, if ever again…

Yesterday was National Kiss and Make Up Day, and today is Repentance Day in Papua-New Guinea.

Although I’m a person who believes that to completely make up (with a woman that is) intercourse MUST be involved, and while I’m neither Papuan nor New Guinean, I thought I would honor the spirit of these two observances by apologizing to a few of the many folks that I may have offended over the years.

To Luigi Vizarri, who was developing a new housing edition to Bagwine in the late 70’s…I apologize for freaking you out when I along with a few friends, built a fake bomb and placed it on the doorstep of one of your un-finished homes.  It looked like a time bomb and was filled with peat moss, but seriously?

We didn't need to put the note inside of it that read, “Bang Wop, You’re Dead!!”  Totally uncalled for.

To the window salesman who some eight to ten years ago kept phone pestering me to let him give me an estimate on new windows.  I apologize for finally saying okay, and after you tried to find our house for over an hour, you were informed that we reside in an apartment building.  That is hours of your life you’ll never get back, and I apologize.

I want to hearken back to two weeks before my HS sophomore year when as the North High School Marching Band was practicing, I ran down a hill disguised in a face mask hat and hurled a goose egg at the marching band director, Michael Mattimore.

To you Mr. Mattimore, I apologize.  It was cruel and childish, however…I will never apologize for my aim. Most highly-paid NFL quarterbacks couldn't have made that throw on a full-out downhill run like I did.

Also related to this event, to our implanted and top secret videographer of the goose egg attack Rob Stevens who spilled the beans.  I apologize to you for not having beaten the shit out of you for turning me in.  I got suspended for two weeks you cackle box.

Lastly…I apologize to my best friend and soul mate Schmoop, because well she asked me to do so publicly and profoundly.  She claims that I use her as a mere piece of gratuitous flesh from time to time to promote IWS Radio without consideration of her feelings.

I don’t know what the hell the crazy chick is talking about, but okay.  I apologize to the Schmoopster.

One thing I do not apologize for nor will I ever, is listening to IWS Radio, and perhaps…

Those of you reading this could apologize to IWS Radio by listening to our Season Five opener on Blog Talk Radio.  If you’d like to listen and repent for your to until now failure to laugh out loud…

Cheers!!

MSJS: Feel the Love

Matt: Heloooooooooooooo!!!!!!
Jay: HOW-DEEEEEEE!!!
Matt: It’s so good to hear from you!
Jay: I look forward to talking to you all week!
Matt: This is always such a pleasant experience.
Jay: That’s because you make it so!
Matt: That’s so nice of you to say, but you are such an affable chap.
Jay: Well, you are full of sunshine and rainbows yourself.
Matt: We do le the sun shine in, don’t we?
Jay: At all times!
Matt: You gotta be that way. Anything else is depressing.
Jay: Oh I know. I feel sorry for negative people.
Matt: How are they ever happy?
Jay: I have no idea.
Matt: It must be so awful being miserable all the time.
Jay: IKR? Those poor people
Matt: I wish there was something we could do to help.
Jay: Me too. We do our best to make them laugh already.
Matt: True.
Jay: And laughter really IS the best medicine.

Matt: Still, it does bother me so that there are sad people out there.
Jay: Life can get pretty hectic. Sometimes it’s too much for some people.
Matt: Dammit! It shouldn’t have to be this way though!
Jay: I think sometimes we just have to accept the world the way it is.
Matt: No me Jayman. Maybe I’m a dreamer, but I think two guys can make a difference.
Jay: I used to think that, but now? Now I’m not so sure anymore.
Matt: Don’t give up Jay! Don’t EVER give up.
Jay: Sometimes Matt … I … I lose hope.
Matt: That doesn’t make you a bad person Jay.
Jay: I hate myself for it though.
Matt: You mustn’t get down on yourself.
Jay: Oh I know. It’s so easy to get caught in a downward spiral.
Matt: You have to break the cycle of negativity.
Jay: I know I do and I will. I promise I will!
Matt: I know you will. I believe in you!
Jay: Thank you. That’s all I really need.

Matt: You know what we should do?
Jay: What?
Matt: We should do a totally positive show!
Jay: Just nothing but positive and uplifting messages?
Matt: Yeah. A show full of love and acceptance!
Jay: Think of all the people we can help if we do that!
Matt: We could literally change people’s lives Jayman.
Jay: And what fills a man’s heart with joy more than that?
Matt: Nothing!
Jay: Exactly!
Matt: Well tell stories that positive and happy.
Jay: And uplifting! And gratifying!
Matt: I love gratifying!
Jay: We should always strive to be gratifying.
Matt: We do! It’s just that sometimes our message gets …
Jay: Lost.
Matt: Just like our spirit gets lost sometimes.
Jay: We will commit ourselves to not let that happening again!
Matt: Exactly! You, me and the WHOLE STAFF at IWS Radio.
Jay: IWS Radio should be and will be a force for good in the world.
Matt: A media empire with a conscience and a soul.
Jay: It is an admirable goal.
Matt: And one we can achieve if we believe in ourselves.
Jay: I’m ready. We. Can. Do. THIS!
Matt: And so we shall!
Jay: We begin immediately!

Be sure to tune into “Down with Love and Up with People” on IWS Radio at 12 Noon ET!! It will change your life for the better!

Excuse Me; Could We Please Be Happy For A Second!?

Cheers!!  Greetings!!  And welcome to the IWS Radio website, and a happy Friday to you all.

This past week, Jay and I have been nothing but cynical, satirical, and sarcastic.

We have made fun of Ann Coulter, people with two first names, list makers, and Donald Sterling just to name a few…albeit Mr. Sterling has a last name that is not his actual last name, but it makes him happy, and we are all about the happy.

However, this week was a big downer, and not a very joyful week, so…

It’s time to shed the yoke of cynicism and sarcasm, have some fun, and delight in the joy that are the people who are good, and things that make me happy aside from Schmoop. Jayman, Jamie, my family, my IWS family, and what not…and by golly, I have a list.

Last night?  I had no clue as to what we should have for dinner, so?  I called up the Pizza King, Vic Cassano, and lo and behold, thirty minutes and $25.00 later, I had the best pizzas in the freaking world delivered to me.  I love Cassano’s Pizza.

And speaking of food, you know what else elicits a happy, happy joy, joy feeling into my digestive core being? SPAM.  Sure, people make fun of SPAM for being the non-meat, but let me tell ya, I LOVE it.  It is delicious, nutritious, and versatile.

Of course, when eating, one needs a beverage with which to wash all the deliciousness down, and what is my liquid of choice?  Steel Reserve.  The 211, Baby!!  I know, I know…that’s ghetto beer you say, but let me tell you…if hanging out with Malcolm in the projects at 2:15 PM and drinking a 211 is wrong?  I don’t want to be right.

I haven’t mentioned many people that I actually have love for, but here is a guy who is gold.  Nigel.

He lives with me, doesn't say much, and brought his own beer and smokes.  If someone shows up on your doorstep with those attributes, bring em’ on in.

As for other house guests?  I’m not a fan, however if I was to have one?  It would be Missalicious.

That chick has a whole lot of 5’3” hotness going on, and…She can always request to call me at 12:15 in AM demanding some venting time, and oh yeah, I listen.

Seriously though, just like all of the aforementioned things, I love the Miss and yeah, other than knowing her for 35 years, the reasons for my love for her are inexplicable, except for one…she makes me smile every time we talk.

And really?  That is all any of us needs.  Good food, good drink, and good people…Well…we all need one other thing, music...and that is where these guys come in.

Another group of people that I heart and always have is, The Cars.

Now that we have everything for a good time, I wish you a wonderful Friday, a wonderful weekend, and a wonderful life.  I hope to ‘see’ you on the radio Sunday as we continue this love fest, but until then…

Cheers!!

Rejection, Heartache, Hot Sisters and the Final Four

Holaaaaaaaaaaaa! Yet another EPIC episode of IWS Radio this week y’all! We totally brought the funny for the whole 2 hours. Well, most of it anyway.  We…

Had a great Final Four discussion with both Slyder Balzcock and then from Dusty Sandman and Charles Barkley in IWS Air Action One HIGHHHHHH above North Texas

Nipsey Russell has some thoughts on the Championship Game …

The NCAA’s have been so exciting this year
All I can do is sit and cheer
Kentucky seems to have finally clicked
And UConn is gonna get their ass kicked

Enjoyed some words of inspiration from Ma Tibbles

Relaxed to the soothing dulcet tones of Paula Piatt in the Poetry Corner

Told stories of rejection and heartache that will live in the deepest, darkest parts of our broken souls forever.

Had a great discussion about who’s the hotter sister. It started with Hallie vs Hillary Duff which we disagree on, but do agree that once they had spelled Haylie’s name with the “ie” that they should have spelled Hillary’s name with the “ie” also for consistency sake. Anyway, we then discussed the relative hotness of Brittney vs Jamie Lynn Spears, Paris vs Nicky Hilton and Ashlee vs Jessica Simpson as well as other hot sister duos.

Heard from the loveable and adorable Schmoop and the sad news she received this week.

Got brought back to our happy place as Bobby Kraft regaled us with some of the most popular and hilarious tweets on Favstar.

Got even happier when Phil Diller took the stage in Aberdeen and brought the funny.

And OH SO MUCH MORE!!!! Totally check that show out!

Jay and Matt Shared, and Hot Canadian Chicks Showed Up

Hi Y'all...Matt-Man here.

If you missed us LIVE yesterday on Blog Talk Radio, you can catch us in the IWS Radio archives right HERE.

Jayman and I had a great show...

We talked about how people take and never give.

We talked NCAA basketball, and how certain people ask for a 24 hr rule against gloating, and yet when "their team" is a winner, they don't adhere to said rule...

"That Snake chick be an aspy bitch in the Garden of Eden", says one Jon Bok Choyvie!!

Greg called in and told us of his travails of having no chance of winning Trailer of the Year this year because the owners of said lot, just don't like his rebellious character.

We also talked to our favorite Canadian, Jamie, and it was molten lava HAWT!!

What did we say as we talked with Jaaaaaaaaaamie?

Pfffffffffffffffffffffffft...You'll have to listen to find out, but let me tell ya..She loves us in her own, personal way.

We also had Joshua with a movie review, Paul Piatt with a poem, and of course, the erstwhile Tammy Tibbles bringing the comfort factor.

All in all?

It was, as always, an award winning show.

If you missed it LIVE, you can always catch it in archives right below.  Do us a solid and not only play it, tell your friend what a good show it was, and have them play it too.

Annnnnnnnd if you are into links, you could play it right HERE:

We thank you in advance!!

FromYouFlowers.Com...Your Customer Service Is Wilting

Happy Friday and I hope all of you will have a wonderful weekend and have had a most happy time during this post-Valentine’s Day week.

I know…again with Valentine’s Day?  I know…It’s passed…it’s gone…it was sooooo LAST week, you say.

Well…not for a very close friend of the IWS Radio Show.

Our friend Angie, purchased a guaranteed Valentine’s Day delivery of flowers that looked something like this from fromyouflowers.com for her wife…

Well…Angie’s wife didn't get them on Valentine’s Day because there were “issues”…Meaning, fromyouflowers.com screwed up, but….we will never know what those issues were.

Perhaps, it was incompetence, but who am I to judge or speculate?

Here’s the thing…when the flowers that Angie did order arrived on Monday the 17th, they looked like this…

Appalled as Angie should be, she contacted fromyouflowers.com and rightfully demanded reciprocity for the late, skanky-ass looking dead flowers that her spouse received on Valentine’s Day, three days late no less.

Well here is what Angie’s wife received from fromyouflowers.com as an acceptable replacement for what Angie purchased for $50 and arrived late…

Seriously?

Why not send Angie and her wife a bucket full of milkweed and call it even?

Sad.

If fromyouflowers.com has any respectability and a sense of corporate responsibility, they will send Angie and her wife something like this…

AND…they will send them a coupon for a free dinner at a nice restaurant in their area.

I mean c’mon…they spoiled Valentine’s Day for Angie and Macey, so do the right thing and make it up to them.

If fromyouflowers.com is truly in the love and happiness business, they will make this happen for one of the cutest couples I have ever known, and they can get a hold of me in order to do so, and I will supply their information.

And if they don’t?  There is going to be hell to pay this Sunday on the IWS Radio Show!!

Cheers!!
