Hola y’all! With all the hoopla surrounding this year’s box office monster hit “Iron Man 3” I thought now would be good time to remind some people out there that Iron Man is totally fictitious and people need to chill about his alleged awesomeness. Here’s what Wikipedia has to say about Iron Man’s origins …
“An American billionaire playboy, industrialist and ingenious engineer, Tony Stark suffers a severe chest injury during a kidnapping in which his captors attempt to force him to build a weapon of mass destruction. He instead creates a powered suit of armor to save his life and escape captivity. He later uses the suit and successive versions to protect the world as Iron Man. Through his corporation ― Stark Industries ― Tony has created many military weapons, some of which, along with other technological devices of his making, have been integrated into his suit, helping him fight crime.”
Yeah? And? SO WHAT! Seriously, anyone who is a billionaire engineer could have become Iron Man with all those assets at his disposal and shit. Hell, I don’t even like the name “Iron Man” cause that indicates someone who has put in the day-to-day grind to get by and be responsible and accomplish things WITHOUT the advantage of being worth billions.

While Tony Stark is lounging around in his huge mansion being fed peeled grapes by supermodel quality babes (and that nasty cunt Gwyneth Paltrow, I guess) Matt-Man is actually putting in work! He’s slaving away down at the Beer Mine making sure that the good and not-so-good citizens of Bagwine, USA don’t have to go without their beer, cheap wine and cigarettes.
When he’s not working he keeps himself busy taking care of his soon to be a high school graduate son and my friend and yours, Schmoopalicious. On top of that, he is knocking out consistently good blog posts every other day right here on this website AND bringing the funny every Sunday on IWS Radio.
Also, people like, well, Jayman!
It’s not my style to toot my own horn, but I can’t afford to pay others to do it. Let’s just say that I hold up my end of the bargain when comes to being a decent citizen and friend to those in need. Much like Matt-Man I grind it out every other day here on this blog bringing funny, interesting, deep and sometimes sexy posts. Plus, I’m there every Sunday on IWS Radio ready to give it all I’ve got to make sure our vast and diverse worldwide audience isn’t let down at all.
And really, all the regular everyday people out there just trying to raise a family and do some good in this world …
You know, people who love their family, are insanely talented but don’t have a huge PR firm behind them and are trying to do great things. People who aren’t trying to be famous just for being famous. People who aren’t just trying to be a celebrity because it’s fun to get all that attention. People of substance who aren’t looking for shortcuts or cheap infamy of reality TV. People who are raising their families without all advantages of inherited millions or a huge multinational corporation to run all their expenses through and help them avoid most of their taxes.
I’m talking about good, decent, hard-working people here y’all. Those are the real Iron Men and Women of this world and deserve a lot more credit than some fake Superhero!
